Turning the sword in the bind, keeping contact, to bring the point to a new opening, typically into Ochs or Pflug.
Winding is what you do when the opponent is hard in the bind. Keep your blade on theirs, raise the hilt and turn the sword so that your stays against their blade and your point swings toward their face: this is winding into . Dropping the hilt instead winds into and aims the point low.
Because contact is never lost, you keep what they do. If they push against the winding, or ; if they leave, follow with the point.
